QSFB is one of the one of the most common roles on the
program. It is also a role that does not
depend on experience so if it is a role that interests you, you should stand a
good chance of being offered a position in this area. That being said, there are many pros and cons
of QSFB.
I’ll start with the cons: QSFB is one of the busiest and
most physically taxing roles. You will
be on your feet the whole time and your work will generally be fast paced. As a CP/ICP you will most likely be rostered
on to late night shifts. You may also be
working in a variety of food preparation areas, which may require you to learn
how to use various fryers, ovens and machinery.
However, on the plus side you will get A LOT of guest
interaction in this role. You could be
placed just about anywhere in Walt Disney World, and a lot of your training
will be universal so you have the potential to pick up shifts all over the
place. The fast-paced nature of the job
also means that you won’t get bored on the job.
In a lot of the areas in QSFB, you will be working on food carts, often
by yourself or in pairs, which means you will have a lot of independence.
Here’s what Disney’s official description of this role looks
like:
Quick Service Food and
Beverage
- Selling food and beverages (including alcohol) at outdoor carts and/or indoo restaurants
- Taking and filling orders, multi-tasking
- Preparing food items in a kitchen area, including the use of a fryer, grill, broiler and other industrial cooking equipment
- Cash handling - both manual and using computerized registers
- Bussing tables, cleaning kitchen equipment and emptying trash cans
- Setting and stocking tables, outdoor cars and restaurants
- Heavy lifting, pushing heavy carts
- Working with cleaning chemicals
That’s all I can really tell you about this role at the moment. Once I’m on my program I will try to find out more information and update this page accordingly.
I can set up my new idea from this post. It gives in depth information. Thanks for this valuable information for all,.. mold in coffee maker
